How Blogs Can Help You With Your Online Business

Tuesday, 6 September 2011

1. With a blog, you can easily brand yourself as an expert in your subject area and promote yourself all over the net. Blogs have taken a life of its own, and there are many blog directories springing to life.

Each blog directory is classified according to various topics of interest, and you can submit your blog to the major blog directories.

You can then easily attract readers to your area of specialisation, and slowly brand yourself
as the expert from the many readers who visit these blog directories each day.

2. Search engine will rank your web site higher if you have a blog on your site. This is because search engine "spider bots" like fresh content, and with a blog, you can just spend 5 - 10 mins per day posting what you want to share for that day and that's it.

Do that on a consistent basis, and the search engine spider bots will come back to your site more
often. Having a blog on your own site is so simple my 9 year old cousin can do it, and you will

3. Blogs allow you to build and foster a closer relationship with your visitors and readers,
building trust and rapport. Blogs allow readers to post comments, and it promotes interaction.

With good relationship with your readers it will be easier for you when it comes to recommending
products and services because they trust you.

4.Blogs are a one stop push button publishing system.
You can easily set up a blog with Google's Blogger in three easy steps. Likewise, now that Wordpress has offered free Wordpress blog accounts, you can again easily set up your free Wordpress account.

With a blogging account, you can easily publish anything online, unlike the usual way of publishing where you have to create and edit the page using some web site editing software and uploading it to your hosting account.

And with Wordpress, you can instantly link all your posts and pages together, unlike your standard web site where you have to link web pages manually.

Blog saves time and is a quick and easy way to build an online presence.

5. Incoming Links
Blogs, especially Wordpress blogs has a feature called trackback. Trackback basically allows someone to post a comment on another person's blog with a link
pointing back to your own blog.

This is one way to get incoming links to your site. And we know that the more incoming links you have to your site, the higher your site will rank for certain keywords.

These are just some of the powerful ways Blogs can help with your online business.

These are just some reasons how blogs can help you in your online business.

Easy and Free Ways to Increase Blog Site Traffic

By now just about everyone has a blog on their site. If you don't yet, you should definitely look into starting a blog of your own. With easy and free options like Blogger and Wordpress, it's actually a lot easier than it may look.

Why bother starting a blog? Because blogs could possibly be the easiest type of site to promote that has ever been created. The whole concept of blogging is based around interlinking to other interesting sites, often without being approached by the site owner first. Most blog platforms even include a trackback feature to encourage blogging about other people's sites. This is a drastic change from the view of traditional webmasters who fear linking out will hurt their site's ranking.

Submit your blog to as many free blog directories as possible. Just like submitting a regular site to free web directories gives you backlinks and Pagerank, submitting your blog will do the same thing for it. Also, if your blog generates an RSS feed (most blogging software does this for you), you can submit that to another list of RSS directories also, maximizing your exposure.

Blogs also give you an easy way to take part in the social bookmarking (Web 2.0) phenomenon and get some great targeted traffic. While most social bookmarking sites let you post pages from regular websites, the very structure of a blog makes it a great fit for bookmarking and sharing with others in the community.

Technorati is the best place to start with tagging and pinging your blog. All you have to do is sign up for an account and "claim" your blog with a couple of easy steps. Now you can add tags to every post and your blog will show up on Technorati for those keywords. If you're using Wordpress, there are a few plugins that make tagging easy (Simple Tags and Ultimate Tag Warrior are probably the best right now.)

Technorati is just the beginning, though. There are literally hundreds of social bookmarking sites now, with more new ones popping up every day. Obviously, time becomes a factor at some point, but you should try to sign up and post your blog at as many social bookmarking sites as possible.

Of course, you can still use traditional online marketing methods to bring traffic to your blog just like it was any other site. You can get great traffic from writing and submitting articles or press releases that link to your blog. Be sure to also link to your blog in your signatures on any related forums you may participate in. Try to post quality information so people will be interested in reading what you have posted on your blog.

Blog sites are far easier to promote than traditional websites, just because of their design and interactive structure. Take advantage of as many of these interlinking features (trackbacks, comments, tagging, etc.) to maximize the traffic to your blog. Submitting to blog and RSS feed directories, along with traditional methods of directory submission, article writing, and link exchange should also give your blog a significant increase in website traffic.

Easy Ways to Make Money Blogging

Friday, 26 August 2011

Autor: DannyWarner :: Views: 86 :: Send to Your Friends :: View PDF :: Print View

Now that blogging seems to be in full swing, there's a predominant question in every blogger's mind - how do I make MORE money blogging?
The blogging world is a gold mine for the person who knows what he is doing. Tips and techniques can be shared and methods learned for making money with blogs , however, you cannot make money Blogging until you start trying. So, the first thing to do is plunge straight in and start trying to monetize your blog.
Ads ads and more ads:
If your blog is catering to a niche market and you are providing valuable content, there is an easy way to make money blogging - sell ad space! Even large corporations are on the lookout for ad space on blogs that have a good following. After all, Blogs are all about public opinion. If you let others advertise on your blogs with banner ads, sponsor ads, solo ads and classifieds, you can start earning money by blogging.
Google AdSense is another attractive option if you want to make money blogging. Google's Adsense program makes it easy to advertise on your Blog. You get paid for every time someone click on an adword campaign located on your blog - not a bad way to subsidize your blogging income!
Endorse, promote and link:
'You rub my back, and I rub yours'. Joint venture marketing is a powerful marketing strategy. By entering into joint venture, you basically promote or endorse certain products. The profits from these sales are split. If you have a loyal following a joint venture is easy because people want to JV with you.
Affiliate marketing is another way in which you can make money blogging. When you come across a product that is related to your blog recommend the product to your readers by linking to it. If they click the link and a sale takes place, you get a percentage of the profit. Some products can really make you a lot of money.
The membership model:
If you own a blog that provides quality content, you can think of converting it into a membership based blog. Once you have hooked your readers on your blog content, they will find it difficult to stop reading your blog. If you make your blog a paying member's only blog they will pay to gain access. However, this can be done after you have established your blog and convinced readers that your blog is worth paying for.
Convert Blog into E-Book:
Sell your blog content in more ways than one by converting them into e-books. If you cater to a niche market, there usually is a great demand for an ebook on the topic. Converting your blogs into content that can be sold will help you earn extra money blogging.
Ask for money:
You do not have to pound away at your keypad for free. If you have a blog that caters to a need or fights for a cause, do not hesitate to ask for a little monetary appreciation.
Recently, one blogger was able to leave his day job for 'uniterrupted Blogging' by cashing in on donations sent by his supportive readers.
If you have decided that you are blogging for money, do so whole heartedly. Place your Ads where people can see them, not in some half-hidden corner. If you are asking for a donation, ask loudly, don't just leave an add or donation button sitting on your blog half-heartedly. There is no need to feel apologetic or defensive about making money from your blogs. After all, if you have started a blog that gives people something they want, you have every right to get paid.

Why You Should Be Using Blog Entries Instead Of Testimonials

Testimonials have been the main way business owners have been able to add credibility and trust to their businesses for brand new prospects and perspective customers to feel more comfortable when making a purchasing decision. Now, with the wide spread acceptance of blogs and blogging, webmasters can use their blogs as a new and superior method of exhibiting and enhancing those testimonials. Here are 5 examples of what I mean:
Give your clients/customers the opportunity to publish their own blog (on your site) instead of just giving you a
testimonial. The blog would include regularly updated entries of how the customer is using your product to improve their life. You could give customers a fr-ee product or a rebate in exchange for them publishing it on the blog.
See if your customers/clients would be willing to write blog entries about goals they have reached using your product, the positive emotions it's given them, the fears and worries your product has taken out of their lives, how bad their lives were before they bought it, how it has helped other people in their lives, etc.
Your customers and clients could update it daily, weekly or monthly, depending on how frequently they use your product(s). You could publish the blog entry right in your ad or link directly to the blog itself. You could either provide the people with blog space for writing the blog or have them e-mail you the blog entries for you to publish yourself.
You can make the blog extra persuasive and credible by also including customer's personal profile, pictures, online video of them using your product, net audio of them talking about your product, even scanned handwritten letters. Today's easy to use technology makes these suggestions (and many others), simple to implement.
A blog would likely outsell the common, age-worn testimonial because it's updated on a regular basis and reveals more personal information about the client/customer. A blog is considered more personable which would make people more apt to read it and believe it's legitimacy.

You Need a Blog to Promote Your Affiliate Programs

Saturday, 20 August 2011

If you aren't already blogging you need to be. Furthermore, you need to blog within the niches for the products that you are promoting. For instance, if you are promoting cat care products and gardening supplies, you need a blog for cats, and a blog for gardening. Blogs have become very useful and effective marketing tools. If you do it correctly, you can easily drive a few thousand visitors to your blog every month, showing the affiliate programs you recommend.

Not only are blogs effective, if you look around, you will find that everybody is blogging. Some marketers think that blogging may be a waste of time simply because everyone else is doing it. This isn't the case. It is because everybody else is doing it that you should blog as well. The exposure that you will receive from blogging is astounding, and it can even become viral.

Blogging software is usually available with webhosting accounts. You should definitely have webhosting for the domain name that you should also have. You can typically install blog software with the click of your mouse in this case.

You can also get a free blog account at hosted sites such as Blogger. Some marketers have a blog hosted on their website, and an identical blog hosted at a hosted blog site. This way, they are providing links to their website every time they make a blog entry, which enhances search engine optimization.

If possible, add a new blog entry every single day. If you just cannot do that, make sure that you post at the very least once a week, or a few times a week. The more often you post, the more exposure your blog will receive.

One way to find something to write about is to visit other people's blogs, or to read industry trade magazines. For instance, if you are promoting cat products, you might get blog ideas from Cat Channel, which is an online cat magazine, as well as from cat blogs that have a lot of readers.

Forums about cats may also give you lots of writing ideas. Another option is to use the same method that you use with writing content for your list. Hire a ghostwriter to blog for you. Many people do this, and your blogger will be adding content on a regular basis, coming up with appropriate topics for your affiliate links, as you specify. This will free up your time considerably.

Can You Make Money From Your Own Blog?

You may have heard of the term blog, but do you really know what a blog is? Do you know whether a blog will be useful for your website. This article will help you to understand what a blog is and how you can use a blog for your own web pages. This will help you decide whether or not to waste time creating a blog.

Another name for a blog is a weblog. Notice the word blog in the term. At first blogs were reserved for sites of a more personal nature, but they are now being used for every sort of website you can imagine.

This is how they work. Generally the most recent information in the blog is put at the top of the page. There is usually a dated log that will show the visitor when the blog entry was made. There is often a way for the visitor to make a comment on the blog. This is a great way to add additional content to your website with out doing anything.

The general consensus is that the first weblog was created back in 1993 and was the Mosaic. The bloggers were essentially exchanging links and information with each other.

Then, the blog started to pick up pace and the result was powerful. In 1999 the public really started to get excited about blogs. This is when blog software became available to the general public. Once the software for blogging became available the general public was now capable of creating a blog.

Check out how fast the concept of creating blogs grew. By the year 2000 people were making about 300 - 350 new blogs daily. Now there are over 750,000 blog users. This shows you that this isn't just a trend but a phenomenon.

Can you make money with a blog? You better believe it. Now the software to create a blog is super simple. There are many open source applications to create blogs and many web hosting companies that have a software installer that you can install a blog for yourself at the click of a button.

Affiliate marketers are making a fortune from blogs. What they do is they post content on their blog that is specifically related to the niche product that they are promoting. When someone clicks on the link in the blog and makes a purchase at the affiliate site, they marketer makes an income.

The search engines love blogs that regularly update with content. Find a niche, create content or purchase it, post the content on your blog, and insert affiliate links into the blog, and post the blog to the search engines This is a brief summary. There is a lot more to do to make your blog successful, but you will find that you can make a fortune if you use blogs the right way. I recommend learning everything that you can about blogging.

Take time to seriously look into creating your own blog. You will be blown away by how easy it is to set up a blog and how easy it is to make money from your very own blog. God bless you.

7 Profitable Joint Venture Tactics For Your Blog

1. Find someone that has a blog related to your topic. Offer to blog about their blog if they will blog about yours. In doing this, you'll both be swapping blog readers that you may have not been able to reach otherwise. Do this with several different people that have blogs related to your topic and soon you will have a huge blog readership.

2. Endorse a product that belongs to someone else via your blog. Ask them to endorse one of your products in exchange. By doing this both of you will benefit from each others blog visitors.

3. Grab a sheet of paper and a pen, or open your word processing program. Now go to a blog search engine and search for keywords related to your blog. When you find blogs related to your blog, write down (or type) the blog website address, any side notes about the blog, and the contact information of the blog owner. Now take your list and start emailing each blog owner for a link swap.

4. Get a group of people together that are bloggers. All of you pick one topic that can be profitable either by promoting affiliate products or by Google Adsense revenue. All of you will start blogging about the topic. Take the RSS feeds from each persons blog, and place them on one website. All of you will make reference to this site where the RSS feeds are placed. By doing this you will all share traffic via a group effort.

5. If you know someone that blogs on the same topic that you do, ask for a blog post exchange. Tell them you will write a "guest" blog post for them, if they will do the same. That way both of you will be giving fresh content from a different person to your readers. Adding some variety to your blogs will keep people coming back often.

6. Create an audio blog post (podcast) for a few blogs related to your blog. Make sure to mention your blog in it. Tell the blog owner if they post the audio blog post on their blog, that you will create an audio blog post mentioning their blog for them, and post it to your own blog. You'll only want to do this with blogs that have a lot of readers because there is a bit more work involved in this tactic.

7. Large businesses actually hire people to blog for them. Not because it's profitable for these big companies but because it let's the outside world know what's going on with these big companies. This starts to build a trust with the people who read these blogs. Knowing this information, I decided to start a testimonial category on my blog. In doing this, people begin to trust me and see me as an authority figure on the topic I am blogging on. You can also do this by telling people you have started a testimonial category on your blog. Ask them to leave a true testimonial on your blog in exchange for something like a free ebook. If they have a testimonial category on their blog, tell them you will give them a testimonial if they will give you one. Always remember though only give true to heart testimonials.

How To Get Readers For Your Blog

Friday, 19 August 2011

Just as a website won't do you any good with visitors, a blog won't do you any good without readers. However, getting blog readers is often easier than getting website visitors. There are several ways to go about this.

First, make sure that each time you make a blog entry, you ping the blog. You can do this by going to Ping-O-Matic. Also, make sure that your blog has RSS capabilities. This will allow readers to load your blog in their newsreader, and it will also allow them to syndicate what you write on their own websites, which gives you more exposure.

Read and contribute to other blogs! This is vital if you want to succeed with blogging. Blogging itself is a community, no matter what the topic is. For instance, if you have a blog about cats, you should visit other people's cat blogs. Read the posts, and when you can, add a comment that is relevant to the post, and link to one of your blog posts that is also relevant. Avoid blog spamming!

Alternately, you should quote other people's blogs and provide Trackback links in your own blog posts. Those Trackbacks will appear on the other person's blog, leading back to your own blog.

List your blog in the search engines! You should only need to do this once, as spiders will then crawl your blog regularly and will find and index your blog entries. Even though you will be pinging the blog directories, you should also visit the directories initially to get your blog listed there as well.

Look for sites that allow you to add a link to your website, and list your blog and your website. Look specifically for sites that relate to your topic. A reciprocal link may be required, but you can easily do this with software that is provided by your hosting company.

You can do everything that we have been talking about here manually. But there are some good software programs on the market that will do all this automatically for you. Once you get the hang about blogging you will set up multiple blogs and this will take a lot of your time. Therefore do a search on Google for "blogging", "blogging software", etc.

Finally, put the link to your blog in your signature file. When you post to newsgroups and forums, and when you send email, make sure that you include that signature file!

Just remember, it is easier to promote a website than it is to promote a product, and it is easier to promote a blog than it is to promote a website. For this reason, make blogging a priority, and you will be astounded at the results.

Getting Traffic to Your Blog - All about Blog Traffic Exchanges

Monday, 1 August 2011

If you've been into Internet Marketing for a while, you probably remember the old traffic exchange programs and the banner exchange programs. Things change fairly fast on the Internet, and now there are blogs and blog traffic exchange programs. If you have a blog, and getting traffic to your blog is important, than you need to know about blog traffic exchanges.

First, blog traffic exchange programs work much better than the old traffic exchange programs did. If getting traffic to your blog matters, getting set up with one or more of these exchange programs is vital - no matter what your niche market is. This will considerably increase your readership very quickly.

However, there are some blog traffic exchange programs that really aren't worth joining. Participating in a blog traffic exchange program does take time. In some cases, you will be able to purchase your credits, but in order to get the traffic without paying for it you will be required to visit other member's blogs. This typically gets you one visitor for every two blogs that you visit - and the visitors that come from blog traffic exchange programs are not targeted. This means that there is no guarantee that the visitors coming to your blog from the program have any interest in what you blog about.

If your blog is highly specialized, meaning that it is a very specific niche, you probably won't do well with blog traffic exchange programs. However, if your blog is of general interest, meaning that it isn't specific to any particular niche market, blog traffic exchange programs may work very nicely for you when it comes to getting traffic to your blog.

Blogazoo at http://www.blogazoo.com is one blog traffic exchange program. However, there are many steps you must take before you can register your blog. For instance, you must visit ten other blogs before your blog will be listed. You must register to use the program. However, there are many features at Blogazoo that will be useful to you if getting traffic to your blog is what it is all about for you.

BlogClicker at http://www.blogclicker.com is also worth consideration. You visit other member's blogs to earn credits. For every two visits to other blogs, you will receive one. You can also purchase credits instead of visiting the other blogs. Two other blog traffic exchange programs are Blog Crowd at http://www.blogcrowd.com and Blog Exchange at http://www.blogexchange.com .

The best blog traffic exchange program available today is Blog Explosion at http://www.blogexplosion.com . Like other blog traffic exchange programs, Blog Explosion is free to join, and only one account is allowed per person. However, you can add multiple blogs to your account. You can refer new members and earn 10% of the traffic that they earn. Blog Explosion has full statistical reports that you can view, and many member features and tools.

At Blog Explosion there are monthly contests with free visitors as prizes, there is a monthly traffic lottery, and the Battle of the Blogs. You can also win daily mystery credits. There is a member's profile directory where members can find blogs of interest, chat rooms, a Podcast directory, and a knowledge directory. You can even rent your blog space to other members. This is why almost 30,000 bloggers choose Blog Explosion over the other blog traffic exchange programs. Remember if you are trying to build up a readership for a niche blog, blog traffic exchange programs may not work well for you.

Blog Your Way To Riches

Sunday, 31 July 2011

"Blogging for fun" or "blogging for profit"? Which of these two objectives would you prefer?

Blogs are fun to create. You will be able to air your sentiments about a particular issue or make your observations about several subjects. You have also the freedom to express what you want to say, making blogs your personal and at the same time a public journal for everyone else to read. It is really fun that you are letting others read what you have in mind and possibly react on your sentiments or observations.

But because of the changes happening on the Internet, its various components also need to be updated frequently, thus paving the way for some innovations, including blogs. These are now used not only as a personal journal but also as alternative political propaganda, a medium to advertise online-based products and services, and an income-generating tool. In other words, bloggers (individuals who write blogs) are enjoying the advantage of writing blogs for "fun and profit".

Almost everybody can blog their way to riches. However, there are very few people who obtained the profits that they expect from their blogs because of two reasons. First, bloggers thinks that "if they build a blog, profit will come next". This expectation is quite unrealistic, since readership does not grow immediately once they have posted their blogs, especially if the subject that they have discussed is not of interest. Second, bloggers failed to establish a realistic plan that they can stick with through the rest of their blog to riches. If their expectations are not met, the disappointment that they felt often puts an end to their determination to continue writing blogs.

If you want to blog your way to riches, you must treat blogs now more than a "hobby tool" but rather as a business and business requires work. To be successful in earning income through blogs, your top priority must be heavy web traffic. The more traffic that you have in your blogs, the more likely you will be able to generate sales (whether your blog is for advertising products and services or under an affiliate marketing program).

How will you be able to build a lot of traffic to your blog?

First, you need to invest in your own domain name. Although it is a good idea that you have blogs written in free blogging sites, it is best if you will have your own platform. Internet researchers always look for a credible information source, and by investing in your own domain name, you will be able to create a steady crowd.

As previously mentioned, you should have a concrete plan for your blogging activities. You need to invest on a good quality blogging software or you might also prefer making friends with other bloggers. This is an excellent idea since it is not just for promotion purposes, but also enables you to exchange links while promoting each other's blogging sites.

The most important part is regularly updating your blogs. Infuse new posts at least four to five times a week. You may also write articles as part of your blogs which tackles on the hottest and latest developments in various fields, such as world politics or information technology. Keep in mind that your blog works like a newspaper - the latter is selling copies because everyday, new contents are written and included.

Make your blog stand among other blogs. You may decorate it with eye-catching images or videos to draw attention. It is better than just pure words on a single page. Try to touch your audience and make them feel that the blog is really for them.

It really takes a lot of time and patience in earning money through writing blogs. However, it does not require you to be a marketing genius to earn more. All you need to have is an effective strategy, motivation, and self-confidence to blog your way to riches.

Niche Blogging - How to Get Started

Do you blog? If not, you are missing out on a booming business, not to mention the latest fad on the Internet. Everyone is blogging these days - your Grandmother is probably blogging if she has a computer!

Blogging isn't just fun, it is a business that has really taken off. In fact, many people are making full time livings simply by blogging each and every day. Don't you wish you could spend thirty minutes or so a day writing an entry for your blog and then go do the things you really enjoy in life? You can if you learn how niche blogging works.

There is blogging - and there is niche blogging. Niche blogging is where the money is. Here is how it works: You do some research to find out what is popular these days. You set up a blog. You find affiliate products for your blog. You write an entry each day. You market your blog. You collect the money. Sounds simple, right?

Well, once you get the hang of it, it is simple - but starting out takes a little more work, and a lot more thought - starting with the research that you need to do. What will your niche be? There are millions of people blogging about millions of topics. The more unique your topic can be the better you will do. Even if you can't choose a unique topic, the way you blog, or the information you put on your blog should be unique so you can compete with the other bloggers in your niche.

That part isn't so simple - finding your niche. Start by finding out what the most popular keyword searches are in the search engines. Do a search for those keywords using RSS feed software or using a search engine - type in the keyword followed by the word blog or RSS. How many people are blogging? If the keywords are popular, there are probably hundreds or thousands of blogs in that niche already. Can you use any of those keywords and create a unique blog? If so, go for it...if not, keep searching.

Think about your own interests. If you are interested in a particular hobby or topic, the chances are good that thousands or even millions of other people are. What is your favorite reality television show? People blog about Survivor, and some of those blogs have a huge following. This goes to show you that even if you do choose a topic that many people are blogging about, you can still make it unique enough to become quite popular.

Setting up your blog is simple. You can get your own webhosting account that includes blogging scripts. These are simple to install, and usually only takes a few clicks of the mouse from the webhosting control panel. You need your own domain name, which can be ordered when you order your hosting account in most cases. However, if you are not tech savvy, you may need to hire someone to do a little tweaking for you. Basically, you need to choose the colors that you want to use for your blog pages and put your affiliate ads on templates. Again, if you don't know how to do this, you can easily - and cheaply - hire someone to do this for you through a site such as Rent-A-Coder at http://www.rentacoder.com .

Finally, you are ready to start blogging and marketing your blog. Learning to market a blog also takes a little work. Now, jump on the blogging bandwagon and start earning some money!

If you want to start your own blog, there are many places to host your blog for free such as blogger.com. You can also buy your own domain from sites like godaddy.com and pay for hosting. I use hostgator.com and can highly recommend them. After setting up your blog, you can monetize traffic through Adsense, an advertising program by Google or other affiliate programs such as maxbounty or primaryads. You can also earn money by discussing advertiser products and services within blog posts through sites like payperpost.com, bloggingads.com and blogitive.com. To send traffic to your blog, you should submit it to directories, post on other people’s blogs, post on forums with your blog address in the signature, and exchange links with similar sites.

Blog Communities
The advantage of joining blog communities is that you can start getting traffic right away. Members of the blog communities will visit your blog if it appeals to them. You will be able to make money through Adsense. Your ads will be rotated 50% or more of the time while the owner’s Adsense ads rotate the other half or less. Some blog communities include blogfeast.com, bloggerparty.com, and blogcharm.com

There are many advantages of joining a blog network. The blog network pays for your domain name and hosting. They setup/design the blog for you. You don’t have to work for traffic and are usually paid a specific amount each month. You can also earn a percentage of advertising revenue each month. You mainly have to focus on posting great content.

5 Reasons Not To Start A Blog Today

Saturday, 16 July 2011

The Internet is a wonderful invention. Doing research and sending email have made our lives simpler and in many ways better. As the dot com bust of the late 1990's proved nothing is perfect.

The Internet is great for creating and ruining fads. One of these could have already hit you. I am talking about blogging. You know, an online diary the allows you to log your thoughts on the world wide web. If for some reason you have not started your blog yet please don't. Here are 5 reasons not to start a blog today.

1. Be different

If it is true that new blog is started every second somewhere in the world than everyone is doing it. Not you. You march to the beat of a different drummer and will not join the crowd on blogging. This is a very good reason not to start a blog today.

2. You do not know how to write

Never mind that if you can speak you can write. All you need is a good spell checker and you are on your way. No way it could be that easy. Because you really do not know how to speak or write this is a very good reason not to start your blog.

3. You do not want to hire someone to write

Because search engines are craving information and a blog is a great way to provide that you could just hire a blog writer and probably develop a decent blog with no effort on your part. But then you would have to pay $5 to $7 for 200-300 word posts in your blog and that is out of the question. Because of the out of this world prices to hire a blog writer this is another good reason not to start a blog today.

4. You are a quitter

The Internet is cluttered with useless crap that no one is interested in. Websites that look like a 2 year old built them are a waste of valuable web space. Blogs that have 2 weeks of content and are 1 year old are just as bad. Do you know how many blogs were started and then dropped like a hot potato. Most of them. Since you quit everything you start on the Internet this is a good reason not to start a blog of your own today.

For whatever reason while I was writing this over 1800 blogs were started. Some think they will get rich on their blog and you and I both know that is not true. So I guess this is reason number 5 not to start a blog today. The odds of you ever making any money on a blog are not very good. Why Try!

How Can I Make Money With Blogs

Blogging for profit is a goal many people hope to be able to obtain. This endeavor is not out of reach for someone with a willingness to work and who has a knowledge of blogging. Very few people, however, ever obtain the profits they want from their blog because they fail to have a plan.

There are two reasons most people who try to make money with their blogs do not succeed. One reason is that bloggers often think that "if I build it, they will come". This expectation is unrealistic. They often expect their readership to grow immediately and begin producing money just as quickly. This just does not happen. The other reason is that a lot of bloggers fail to have a realistic plan. The key to making money as a blogger is to have a realistic plan and sticking with it. When these expectations are not met, this disappointment often puts an end to their willingness to continue blogging. Some think that blogging is more "work" than they thought it would be. If you want to make money using blogs, you have to treat is as a business and a business requires work.

To be a success at earning money with blogs, you will need a lot of traffic. The more traffic that comes to your blog, the more likely you are to make sales. However, obtaining the regular visitors that you need isn't easy. Because more blogs are started each and every day, there is a lot of competition. You need to keep your content fresh, unique, informative and interesting. Once people know that you have content on your blog that is updated regularly with useful information, they will return to your site. However, as mentioned above the "if I build it, they will come" approach just doesn't happen.

You also have to market your blog. You can have the most interesting and informative information there ever was put on a blog, but if you don't get visitors to your blog, who is going to read it. If you have a brick-and-mortar business, you advertise. A blog needs to be treated the same, you advertise.

You need to spend time getting your blog noticed. Take some time to visit other blogs and making a comment or visit forums related to your blog and make a post. Always be helpful and informative, and be sure to add your blog address with your signature, thereby creating a link to your blog.

If you're an affiliate, try writing a review of the affiliate product you are marketing. You might find that it will get added to the products sales page if the review is honest and informative. Again, be sure to add your blog address with your signature.

It may take several months to build the traffic to make your blog profitable. Make a realistic plan and stick with it. To keep on track, make a daily schedule. Spend a set amount of time adding content to your blog, writing articles, visiting other blogs, visiting forums, and, if you are an affiliate, reviewing products to promote. Set a goal and when that goal is reached, set another one. Don't set unrealistic goals as this will only discourage you. Don't get discouraged, it takes time to build traffic to get the readers you want.

Earning money with blogs is a business. It takes time and patience to build a successful blog. It doesn't matter if you are a marketing genius or have the best blog on the internet, success takes time. Staying motivated and setting goals will reward you with success.

Clickbank Profits From Your Blog

Monday, 11 July 2011

Ever heard of different "rags-to-riches" stories about the affiliate marketing bandwagon? If you are quite inspired of such stories, then probably you are considering jumping into the latest craze of earning huge revenues from different affiliate marketing programs through different online-based tools.

However, before you start earning on any of these affiliate marketing programs around the Internet, you need to accomplish first 2 essential things: first is determining which affiliate program you wish to dedicate your time and effort, and second is determining the online-based tool that you will use in earning through the affiliate program you have chosen.

Let us tackle the first requirements. Probably you are aware that there are several affiliate programs over the Internet. One of which is the Clickbank affiliate program which is spearheaded by no other than Clickbank, one of the premier retailers of digital products over the Internet. The online firm was founded in 1998 and sold thousands to millions of units of digital products, such as software programs and electronic books.

They have become one of the Internet leaders in terms of online digital products marketing, with over 10,000 product publishers and more than 100,000 registered affiliates. Everyday, they are completing nearly 20,000 orders from about 200 countries around the world. Thus, it is no wonder that their website is one of the highly-trafficked sites over the Internet.

Clickbank affiliates earn by endorsing digital products to their sites and they will receive a 50 percent commission for each sale that you will be able to make. There are also instances wherein affiliates are not directly connected to Clickbank, but rather to another affiliate marketing programs (such as Google AdSense). Clickbank makes use of the services of other affiliate marketing programs to effectively endorse their products.

At this point, you already know how you will be able to earn through the Clickbank affiliate program. It is quite simple - you choose a Clickbank digital product that you think is profitable, and endorse it to the public. Once you have made sales, Clickbank owes 50 percent of the deal to you. Now, you need to decide which online-based tool you would like to use to endorse Clickbank digital products.
You may consider writing blogs about the Clickbank product you are endorsing. You may provide description as well as the features and probably include some reviews or comments about the previous users of the product. You may also write articles about these digital products and provide links directing to your blogs. Submit it to free article directories and let them republish your articles. Once readers show interest on the Clickbank products you are endorsing, they will just click that link you have provided at the bottom of the articles back to your blog and let the blog do the rest of the "endorsing task".

With an effective blog, you will be able to reach hundreds to thousands of potential clients all over the world. Thus, there is the opportunity of earning more than any other existing affiliate programs over the Internet. Just imagine receiving 50 percent of the payments made on every Clickbank deal. Good enough for a deal, isn't it?

Create the best possible blog out of your wildest ideas and earn more Clickbank profits throughout the rest of your affiliate marketing career.

Blogging for Cash - Affiliate Programs and Blog Ad Networks

If you have a blog, and you want to start blogging for cash - affiliate programs and blog ad networks is the first step. However, today you may not have to look far to find affiliate programs for your blog. There are a couple of very effective blog advertising networks that will allow you to make money on your blog - along with any other affiliate programs that you want to promote.

Blog advertising networks work much like any other advertising network, such as Shareasale or Click Bank. Some even work like Google AdSense, generating ads based on the content of a webpage. Some networks pay for clicks, others pay for sales only. Getting set up with a blog advertising network is quite simple.

Two such blog advertising networks are Blogads at http://www.blogads.com/ and Crisp Ads at http://www.crispads.com/ . These are the two most popular blog ad networks today. Unfortunately, Blogads is by invitation only at this time, and you must be invited by a blogger who is already in the network to start earning revenue through this blog ad network.

However, if you are lucky enough to get an invitation, you will be able to earn anywhere from $50 to $5000 per month, depending on how popular your blog is. You also have the opportunity to network with other successful bloggers, which will dramatically increase your own readership. You have the ability to set your own prices, customize the design, and even write your own sales copy for the ads. You have total control over what appears on your blog site. Again, membership in the Blogads program is by invitation only, so in the meantime, you might want to consider using Crisp Ads. You may even find so much success with Crisp Ads that you don't worry about membership in the Blogads program!

Crisp Ads is less exclusive, but equally effective. You can choose keyword based text ads or graphical ads. Keyword based ads earn a flat twenty cents per click, and Crisp Ads pays out on balances of at least $5 through Paypal. For graphical ads, you can literally name your price for the month, and Crisp ads will find the advertisers for you. Crisp Ads will list your blog in their blog catalog, which is what advertisers use to determine where they want their ads placed.

Because Crisp Ads is open to everyone, it is the most popular choice for blog ad networks. You are able to earn money in two different ways, and with the payouts so small and easy to collect, you can't go wrong. According to Crisp Ads, even the smallest of blogs can earn revenue using their system. Joining is of course free. When you don't have an advertiser through Crisp Ads, you can use the pay-per-click feature instead, so you are continually earning revenue no matter what. You will also have the ability to track your clicks and earnings through the reporting feature for your account.

The important thing is that no matter which option you choose, you still have the freedom of promoting other affiliate products and services on your blog. However, if you hope to run Google AdSense along side the keyword ads through Crisp Ads, treat carefully- this practice may be against the Google AdSense policy - even though Crisp Ads claims it is not against the Google AdSense policy. Use caution!

Make Money Blogging

Have you heard of people earning an income from just blogging? Well it is true, you can profit from blogging but it's going to take more then just setting up a blog and making a few posts. It is going to take some good content on your blog to get the visitors to come and to click on your links.

If you want to start earning some extra revenue from being a blogger, you are going to have to have content on your blog that people want to see. Don't just start a blog and slap on some ads, you are going to have to give the visitors material they want to "eat up". Blogs had first started as online journals but now have turned into far more. Now, there are tons of people using blog software to create websites. I know this, because I have done this myself. I am now creating niche sites using Wordpress, one of the most popular blogging software out there. My first niche blog website is PregoGuide. When you visit this blog, it does not look like a journal, it looks more like an organized website with categories and such.

Where does the money come in? Well that will come in time. My favorite source of income from blogging is from Google's Adsense program. To join Adsense signup for an account and then place code into your blog posts. The code then appears as an ad once posted. When users click the ad, you make money. The price you make per click varies each time but can sometimes be more then just a few bucks. It all depends on the market/niche your blog falls into. See Google's Adsense will pull ads relating to the content on your website.

Another way to make income from a blog is promoting affiliate links. You can signup to relevant affiliate programs, then promote them on your site. You can make a review on an affiliate product, then when the visitor reads your review and clicks the links and buys the product you are in profit. You can also add affiliate links to the menus in your blog, your signature lines, etc. The customer can't buy if they don't have a link to click on.

I started blogging with a personal blog over a year and a half ago, now I have over a dozen blogs and growing. I have actually been trying to create a blog for each website I own. Adding a blog is an easy way to add content to your site. I just installed a blog today on my site SuccessMom. My blog's content will mainly be articles written by moms or with moms in mind. I plan to publish a few articles daily on this blog of a few different categories. That way I have more chance of the reader finding something they want to read. I am using Wordpress for this blog as well. With Wordpress, you can schedule your posts ahead of time. So today, I setup a weeks worth of article posts.

If you haven't started blogging, what are you waiting for? Not only can you make money with your blog, you can drive traffic to your sites with them. I started with www.Blogger.com. They offer free blogs and you can have one setup within minutes. Try starting out with a personal blog for practice, then go to a business blog. Remember, the more incoming links to your sites, the better.
